Graduation Parade

design&deliver has helped produce the RMIT Student Graduation Parade for the past four years. The event sees students kickstarting celebrations ahead of the graduation ceremony as they walk from the university campus, through the streets of Melbourne down to Federation Square. To deliver a dream send-off, we had to overcome a logistical nightmare! This required installing a distributed audio system along the route and working closely with the Federation Square production suppliers to bring the party to the final celebration zone. We constructed several ‘#RMITGRAD’ displays and pop-up media walls, which became popular photo opportunities on the day – and were reused at future events to save funds. And, the oversized RMIT Pixel we built in 2017 now has a semi-permanent place at the university’s new academic precinct.
