Ahead of their 2017 season launch party, Essendon Football Club was searching for a show-stopping centrepiece to the curtain raising celebrations that could be repurposed from the club’s existing brand assets.
design & deliver always works closely with our clients to ensure we deliver the loudest bang for their buck. We needed to produce an event showpiece working with what we had – and one thing the club had in spades was footballs. Lots of them! Enter the world’s first pair of customised ‘Footy’ Chandeliers, created from 72 strategically hung Sherrin footballs.
Our in-house carpenter handcrafted a pair of bespoke black frames to support the footballs. These were illuminated by the venues’ existing LED lights to create a unique and memorable display without soaring costs. Images of the installation went viral on social media, leading to increased exposure and free PR for the club.
